After breakfast ,we attended a Peranakan food talk and demonstration where we learnt how to cook Peranakan food and we got to sample some of Mr Kenny Chan's cooking. We went to Mahkota Parade Shopping Centre to buy ingredients later in the day. We were trying to avoid and shake off Matthew as much as possible la. We had lunch at Burger King, where service was quite bad. waited quite long. not as fast and effecient as Singapore. The good thing was there was unlimited refills! W00T! So we were all quite bloated after drinking alot alot alot of drinks. My group bought the stuff and it totalled out to around RM2.80 each.. Which was worth it.. they would find out later.. We spent alot of time around the shop which sold imitation shirts. Pink was quite popular as it was not a common colour. But in the end like 6 or 7 people bought the same supposedlyt unique shirt..so no longer a novelty..Afterwards we went to another supermarket to get additional stuff if necessary. We could take free one-cent coins. Imagine how fast it would be snatched up in Singapore. The cooking competition was good. Well at least the only thing was that Robert ruined my shirt. And we didnt use the carrots we bought .But it was still a success. Me and my culinary background.. muhahahahha.. After a tiring hour or 2, i was finally sastified and we made ourselves comfortable in the ballroom. It was chicken with potato and mushrooms in spicy bean paste on vermicelli. During the presentation, we realised that we had not thought of a group name or a dish name. As david was our presenter and a very devoted christian to the extent of preaching during meals -.-, we thought he would name it Holy Noodles. Well, Sherwin came up with it, saying that we had not cooked the dish, but instead the noodles fell from heaven while David was praying. LOL. We were rather disappointed that we didnt win, but it was the teamwork and bonding that was the most important la. Chien Tat was in the vegetarian table, and his other tablemates were Indian. Hence their name was the Sanskrit speaking Vegetarians. We were all laughing at Chien Tat, who was miserably eating potatoes. Surprisingly, they won third place. Sigh. Contrary to what we were told that we were eating only our dish for dinner, we were still treated to the hotel's fine food. I went to Ainsley's room again after my shower. Well, I;m not exactly the partying sor, so I spent my free time there. It was our last night and we got an extended lights out time for packing.
